The University of the Philippines SAMAHANG LINGGWISTIKA (UP SALIN) is a duly recognized academic, non-profit organization of Linguistics major students of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy. The Organization aims to promote language and linguistics and to provide channels for the enhancement of academic potentials of its members and other UP Diliman students.
We conduct contests, school invitational/school-to-school projects, outreach programs,tutorials, film-showing, group discussions, exhibits, and other activities related to language for the purpose of imparting knowledge on the importance of language in the society and human life.
We are also recognized in the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy as an active organization supporting the college council in its projects and activities.
